Globally Recalculating Workers Compensation on Vouchers

Use this form to recalculate workers' compensation accrual (liability) amount in payroll vouchers, for a specific date range. You can also use this form to update both vouchers and the employee workers compensation register.

Note:  This utility will use the rates in effect on the voucher pay date. But, any workers' compensation parameters taken from company records, state processing rules, or worker's compensation policies will use current values.

Worker's compensation will be recalculated using current values of the following parameters:

To access the form, click System. Under System|Action, click Recalculate Workers Compensation on Vouchers (Global).

To globally recalculate workers' compensation on vouchers:

1. Enter a Start Date, which is the date from which you want to recalculate, by globally applying the changed rates, or other changed workers' compensation parameters.
2. Enter an End Date, which is the date up to which you want to recalculate, by globally applying the changed rates, or other changed workers' compensation parameters.
3. Click Update W/C Values. A job progress window displays. Select Yes to continue. (Since this is a global utility, the processing time depends on the date range selected.)
4. Click Close. A message box appears, telling you the number of voucher records updated and number of voucher errors if any.
5. Click OK to close the message box. The job progress window also closes now.
6. Click Update Report. The Workers Compensation Recalculation Report opens, showing the amount of Accrual Change made for each affected employee.
7. Click the XLS link on the Workers Compensation Recalculation Report to download the report.
8. Click Error Report. The Workers Compensation Recalculation Error Report opens, showing the list of prior payroll vouchers not updated, and the reason thereof.
9. Click the XLS link on the Workers Compensation Recalculation Error Report to download the report.
10. Click Clear to clear the form.
